Resort.AI: Innovating the way resorts personalize guest experience and optimize operations


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Create a visually compelling, high-fidelity clickable prototype for both iPhone and iPad

  • Collaborate on ideation and strategy with the Director of Strategy & UX​ and Director of Research & Branding

  • Provide branding and marketing material for pitching and presentation purposes

  • Develop wireframes and designs based on competitive research, product vision and roadmaps

  • Adapt design based on testing and validation workshops


 

RESEARCH (provided by PH1.ca)

Tourism has doubled between 1995 and 2010; projected to triple between 2010 and 2030. Technology has enabled countless transformations in the travel sector, including AirBnB, Priceline, UBER, Trip Advisor, translation tools, keyless entry, etc.


For North Americans, the Caribbean is their preferred sun and beach destination and has an annual gross revenue of $13.1B. Whether it is Mexico, Jamaica, Saint Lucia, Aruba, or Costa Rica, we have fallen in love with the exotic nature, vibrant cultures, and beaches. However, for all the magical realism that has made travel intoxicating, many resort properties are lagging technologically and operationally to their hotel counter-parts in major cities, and to boutique or AirBnB operators competing directly against them.


Our client aims to transform the resort industry by innovating how it uses technology. Resort.AI aims to augment and personalize the guest experience and revolutionize operations.


 

STRATEGY

Through a series of in-person ideation and validation workshops, combined with our own competitive research, PH1 Media identified key areas of the resort guest experience and resort operational process that are ripe to be disrupted. Through ideation sessions and prototyping we designed Resort.AI.


Innovating travel starts with technology that understands who we are, our passions, what makes us feel unique, and delivering a service that acknowledges all of that seamlessly. Resort.AI’s UI design is inspired by the beautiful photo-forward magazines that inspire us to dream and incorporates social technology elements that propel us to explore and act.


Thanks to technologies like artificial intelligence, bots, personalization, and location-based analytics, Resort.AI delivers an experience that will innovate the resort industry in the following ways:
